- Approved Document S: Infrastructure for the charging of electric vehicles (New)
Approved Document F (Volumes 1 & 2)
These documents cover requirements for the means of ventilation in dwellings and buildings other than dwellings.
Approved Document L (Volumes 1 & 2)
These documents cover requirements for ‘Conservation of Fuel and Power’ & ‘On-site Generation of Electricity’ in dwellings and buildings other than dwellings.
Approved Document O
This document covers Overheating mitigation and applies to new residential buildings only.
Approved Document S
This document Infrastructure requirements for the charging of electric vehicles in new residential buildings, dwellings resulting from a material change of use and residential buildings under major renovation to name a few .
All the documents take effect on 15 June 2022 and are for use in England. They do not apply to work subject to a building notice, full plans application or initial notice submitted before that date, provided the work for each building is started before 15 June 2023. Full detail of the transitional arrangements can be found in Circular Letter 01/2021 published on gov.uk.
